What’s in Season Recipes

Why We Cook with What We Grow

At our farm, cooking isn’t just about putting dinner on the table—it’s about telling a story from seed to plate. We choose to cook with seasonal ingredients we grow ourselves because it creates a natural rhythm in our home and kitchen. Our kids get to see it all unfold: planting tiny seeds in the soil, caring for growing plants, harvesting sun-warmed produce, and finally transforming it into something nourishing and delicious.

This flow—from garden to kitchen—grounds us in the seasons and teaches our children that food doesn’t come from a box or a shelf. It comes from the earth, and from our hands. It’s a way to eat a wider variety of real, nutrient-rich food, not created in a factory but grown with intention. We believe this connection is essential—an education and a joy—and one of the greatest gifts we can give our family. Here we are sharing some of our favorite farmhouse recipes. Let us know what you try!
